Curious George Videos Review

Curious George videos from PBS Kids® make great gifts for children. Each video has about eight episodes from the popular PBS Kids television program. Each Curious George video focuses on a theme. For example, Curious George Zoo Night & Other Animal Stories includes eight episodes where George plays or interacts with animals such as a baby panda, a pigeon, a bear, etc.

Episodes of Curious George on PBS Kids focus on many skills that children need to learn. Some topics that are covered are map reading, observing and predicting weather, number concepts, and learning about animal habitats.

Despite how curious George can be, the Man in the Yellow Hat models good parenting skills. He is patient, explains things well, and deals with problems effectively.

Do not worry that the shows are only educational. PBS Kids has made Curious George funny and sweet. George's antics are immediately recognizable to any parent and kids love to see what George can do. The supporting characters such as Chef Pisghetti, the Doorman, Hundley the Dachsund, and Dr. Wiseman are a great addition to the shows.

Another advantage to these television shows for kids is that they are not hyper and fast-paced the way some programs made for kids. I do not mean they are slow, or boring. The shows move along nicely, without causing your kids to bounce off the walls. They are a great help for sad kids.

My two children, ages 4 and 2, love the Curious George videos. We faithfully watch the show on PBS Kids every day, but we watch the videos almost daily as well. I feel good about letting them watch Curious George, rather than other shows made for children. We have almost the whole collection of videos. We plan on buying Curious George videos for Christmas presents again this year!
